Hi, I'm Dan Machado, the creator of Lineup DJ.

I've been designing digital products and apps for over 12 years, helping teams build software used by millions of people. But Lineup DJ started from something much closer to home — coaching my son's baseball team.

After three seasons of coaching youth baseball, starting back in tee-ball, I saw how much kids love the little moments that make the game feel special. Walkout songs and player introductions can turn a normal at-bat into something the kids remember all season.

The Idea

There were already some great apps that helped teams run walkout music during games, but as a parent and volunteer coach I often found myself wishing the experience was a little easier and more intuitive for families managing a team.

As a product designer, I naturally started noticing opportunities to improve the user experience.

So I decided to build something that was designed specifically for parents and youth coaches.

Independent Builder

Lineup DJ is an independent project built and maintained by one person.
